8 ways to master Kerning City Party Quest (KPQ) rushes in Global MapleStory Classic World (MSCW)
KPQ Rush: 8 Ways to Clear Faster
Published
1. Spam the Entry Prompt

Bind NPC CHAT to a key you can reach comfortably.

Stand right in front of Lakelis, close enough for NPC CHAT to work.

Place your mouse cursor where you can click YES immediately.
Then hold down your NPC CHAT key and click YES repeatedly.
2. Buff Up as Soon as You Enter

If your party has buffs such as Rage or Haste, use them as soon as you enter. That way everyone starts Stage 1 with fresh buffs.
3. Stage 1: Just Grind Until 28:30

When you enter, don’t run over to Cloto. Just start hunting until the countdown hits 28:30.
If your party is higher level and has Haste, you can stop at 28:40. Otherwise, it’s fine to keep hunting until 28:20.
This makes your route more efficient and cuts out the back-and-forth about when to stop. You’ll also have roughly 70–80 Coupons, which is almost always enough to clear the stage.

At 28:30, regroup and talk to Cloto.
The party leader should drop their Coupons. Anyone who already has a Pass should drop their leftover Coupons too, so members who are short can pick them up.
If someone’s question calls for 30 Coupons and you’re badly short, you can try a leader swap.
What’s a leader swap?
The leader hands leadership to the member who’s short on Coupons, then takes a question and clears it themselves. The new leader’s old question disappears, and the former leader receives a new one that may require fewer Coupons.
Once the former leader gets a Pass, hand leadership back and clear Stage 1.
4. Move Clockwise in Stage 2
Stage 2 can waste time while everyone waits to see who will move first.
At the start, tell the party to rotate clockwise.

5. Use the Stage 4 Warp Glitch (Veteran Parties Only)
This is a trick for true veterans, and I’ve never managed to pull it off myself.
I’ve heard it was possible in Mapleland (Korea’s classic MapleStory) too, so the old map itself may have a bug.

If you drop down from one specific spot right after entering Stage 4,

you can fall in from above like this (!!!!)

First, press right up against that wall. Then jump one Teemo-meter (a very, very tiny bit) to the right.

You’ll end up roughly on the edge of the ledge, like this. From there, jump down and to the right.
I’ve tried about 50 times and failed every single time.
Zeby, who taught me the trick and showed me how to do it, succeeded about 90% of the time during our PQ runs.
If all four members pull it off, this legendary trick can save more than 10 seconds. Give it a try for fun.
6. Share Buffs Before Leaving Stage 4

Don’t dash through the portal right away. Even if it costs a second, make sure everyone gives and receives buffs before leaving.
7. Assign Someone to the Boss-Stage Mobs

Have one player handle the Curse Eyes and Jr. Neckis while the rest focus on King Slime.
Sometimes a few monsters spawn late. Remember that there are three Curse Eyes and six Jr. Neckis in total.
8. Exit Through Nella After the Boss
After clearing the boss stage, parties usually go through the portal to the bonus stage and then leave.

But you don’t actually have to climb all the way up to the portal.
From roughly where you can see both Cloto and Nella, hand in the Passes.
Collect your reward from Cloto, then talk to Nella to leave and skip the bonus stage.
It only saves a little time, but it feels surprisingly convenient.
